Biography
Dyanne is a graduate in classical piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music in NYC where she studied with Robert Goldsand. She has won various piano competitions and has performed extensively throughout the USA and Europe. She has given concerts in Carnegie Recital Hall, NYC; The University of London, England; Oberlin College, Ohio and Indiana University and has performed in master classes and workshops throughout the east coast of the USA. Dyanne's musical experience is not limited to classical music. For two years she played keyboards and sang back-up vocals with Shirley Alston Reeves, former lead singer of the famous girl group, "The Shirelles". As keyboardist/vocalist she toured twice with Noel Redding, former bassist with Jimi Hendrix, which lead to performances with Ginger Baker ("Cream", Eric Clapton) and Tico Torres (Bon Jovi). Dyanne has also performed as a soloist throughout Europe, including Scandinavia, and in Japan in hotels and piano bars playing popular music and jazz. She has performed several times here in Switzerland: in Zürich, Lausanne, Davos, Klosters, Lugano, Engelberg and Frauenfeld. She also has many years of experience teaching piano. Dyanne was a member of the faculty at The Gillet School, Marywood College in PA. She was assistant electronic music teacher at The Manhattan School of Music, NYC and also was assistant music teacher at the prestigious Dalton Pre-School, NYC. Dyanne has taught privately throughout her career, entering many students in the National Piano Teachers Association Auditions. She is currently one of the few members of the NPTA in Switzerland. Dyanne performs regularly with musicaldente and also accompanies various soloists. She has recently completed a CD, "Cover Stories", with the vocalist Jasmin Schmid.
